Job Title: Data Scientist – Ads Personalization & Commerce
Location: Onsite at Menlo Park, CA
Duration: 6 Months Contract on W2 (Possible extension)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Scientist, a core part of a high-impact commerce initiative aimed at transforming the advertising experience within one of the world’s most widely used in-app browsers. You will be at the forefront of using data and machine learning to enhance post-click ad personalization, streamline the buyer journey, and drive performance for businesses leveraging in-app shopping capabilities.

Degrees/Certifications Required: Bachelor's, Quantitative degree preferred
Key Responsibilities
Lead experimental analysis, including A/B testing and uplift measurement, to evaluate the performance of in-app browser and Shops Ads initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Product Managers, and Engineering Managers, to guide product direction with data-backed insights.
Design and analyze ML-driven personalization strategies to improve ad performance and shopping conversion.
Define and size business opportunities based on deep statistical analysis and modeling of user behavior and signal efficacy.
Translate complex data and statistical findings into intuitive insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to the long-term roadmap through strategic thinking and identification of growth opportunities within signal optimization and commerce analytics.
Required Qualifications
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, experimentation, and prototyping ML workflows.
Deep understanding of statistics, experimental design, and A/B testing.
Demonstrated experience in applying machine learning to solve real-world business problems (personalization, recommendation, ranking, etc.).
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to align and influence product and engineering partners.
Solid background in mathematics, logical reasoning, and numerical problem-solving.
Experience working in a tech-first or big tech environment, ideally on Ads, eCommerce, or ML products.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with e-commerce platforms or advertising systems.
Experience supporting product experimentation at scale.
Familiarity with web browsing behavior analytics or mobile app signal processing.
