Seeking a Pastor/Teacher

About Our church:

• We are a small independent Sovereign Grace Baptist Church.
• Our Statement of Faith is based on the New Hampshire Confession of Faith,
• The only program of the church is to preach the gospel and teach the glorious truths of the Bible to equip the saints to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Qualifications and Experience:

–    Hold to the following:

• That salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ who accomplished the only righteousness God will accept in his life of perfect obedience to God’s law and his substitutionary death on the cross for sinners.
• The doctrines of God’s Sovereign Grace:  Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace and Preservation and Perseverance of the Saints.
• That a local New Testament church is a body of baptized believers in Christ banded together to carry out the Great Commission and is the only institution the Lord Jesus left to do his work.
• That the Lord Jesus has given his churches two ordinances; baptism which is immersion in water and the Lord’s Supper which is to be observed only in and by local New Testament churches.
• That Jesus Christ is coming back literally, visibly and bodily to the earth
• Baptist distinctives of believer’s baptism by immersion, the Lord’s supper, and the local church.

–    Preferably have experience in a pastoral ministry or leadership position in a church.

–    Preferably have pastoral and theological training with knowledge of the Biblical languages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Uphold the spiritual, personal, and character qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3. Exhibit the fruit of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:22-23.
• Serve as a shepherd and overseer of the church, feeding and nourishing the sheep (1 Peter 5:2-3) through expository preaching and teaching of the Bible while leading the church to fulfill the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:34-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20).
• Uphold Victory Baptist Church’s Statement of Faith
• Adhere to the Church Constitution and Church Covenant.
• Protect the integrity of the church.
• Prepare and lead all services on the Lord’s Day and Wednesday evening.

Salary :  Full Time or Bi-Vocational (based on family needs)
