Job Description

As Acquera Yachting continues to grow, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented U.S. Sales Officer to operate in the heart of Fort Lauderdale/Miami, USA!

Role:

The U.S. Sales Officer is responsible for developing sales activities in the area, with the objective of generating revenue and ensuring sustainable growth.

The role is responsible for identifying new commercial opportunities, enhancing the value proposition, and managing direct relationships with clients and prospects.

It is responsible for developing and implementing the U.S. market and business development strategies in line with the Company’s goals and works in close contact with the Chief Commercial Officer to ensure the application of commercial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing the value proposition of services to expand the market and create business opportunities aligned with the brand identity
  • Implementing commercial and sales strategies in line with company objectives to drive revenue and business growth
  • Managing various commercial projects, with a focus on the U.S. market
  • Conducting market research and analysis to develop detailed business plans for expansion, business development, budgeting, and client prospecting
  • Interpreting the yachting market trends to adapt to industry changes and provide strategic recommendations to the Board
  • Ensuring customer needs are met by understanding and communicating client requirements
  • Identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, preparing proposals, and writing bids; assessing risks and opportunities when acquiring or losing accounts
  • Managing and nurturing key client relationships (new and existing)
  • Building and maintaining profitable partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Monitoring commercial performance through key metrics and preparing periodic reports for management
  • Supporting departmental budget preparation and financial monitoring
  • Setting individual commercial targets with the CCO and coordinating action plans
  • Providing guidance to the Operations Department regarding sales and commercial activities
  • Managing and optimizing the CRM system
  • Negotiating ongoing contracts with U.S. customers
  • Assisting Management in analyzing growth opportunities and conducting due diligence on special projects
  • Handling all information with strict confidentiality and in compliance with GDPR regulations

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in the yachting industry and strong knowledge of the market
  • Proven experience in commercial and sales roles, with a focus on managing key client relationships
  • Preferably with experience in yacht agency operations and team management
  • Solid understanding of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills
  • Strong negotiation and persuasive abilities
  • Confident in delivering formal presentations
  • Highly results-oriented
  • Available for business travel
  • Flexible with working hours and schedule
