WHAT WE’RE SEEKING

A Creator shall plan and support the engineering efforts of audio, video, and control systems commonly found in entertainment venues such as theme parks, cruise ships, museums, exhibits, restaurants, and convention facilities. 

Creators shall be able to design and engineer a solution based on the project’s needs and requirements ensuring all components of the system work together seamlessly exceeding client expectations. Manage drawing packages using AutoCAD & Revit to convey and communicate necessary information. Your design should support the procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning efforts of the project.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment on project goals, updates, and expectations.
  • Develop A/V design strategies for new projects and lead processes for assigned projects
  • Design and/or engineer the details of technical systems per client requirements and project expectations. 
  • Coordinate meetings, track action items, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure progress. 
  • Identify and mitigate risks to keep projects on schedule and within budget. 
  • Provide regular status reports and updates to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Create, review and approve CAD drawings which produce a cohesive design package containing any or all the following documentation: floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, single lines, rack elevations, mounting details, equipment details, schedules, etc.
  • Create, review and approve project specific documentation such as power and heat loads, cable schedules, written specifications, equipment specifications, and other documents as required to convey the details of the system design in a professional manner.
  • Provide and validate equipment lists and specifications as required by purchasing department for pricing and product procurement.
  • Produce designs that are safe, efficient, functional, and meet or exceed a high level of standard.
  • Prepare and respond to RFIs which clearly address and clarify the exchange of project information.
  • Provide engineering support to sales department to assist with project cost estimating and related efforts in preparing bid documents.
  • Provide engineering support to fabrication and integration teams, as required, to resolve any issues and verify the system meets the specifications and design.
  • Provide engineering support for FAT/SAT procedures to verify the system performance meets specifications and quality standards. Produce FAT and SAT documents and reports.
  • Work in a team environment on multiple projects under the direction of a Lead Engineer, Project Manager, and/or Engineering Manager. Must be available to potentially adjust working hours to overlap local time zone of client or project location. 
  • Research, analyze, and utilize new hardware and software related to the industry and design efforts.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 5+ years of experience leading the design & engineering of audio/video/control systems in the entertainment industry
  • Knowledge of computer networks; especially as it pertains to AV systems and their specific requirements. Advanced IT networking expertise a plus.
  • Knowledge of current products and trends in the AV industry.
  • Proficient in Windows based PC environment, including MS Office.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and some Revit experience. Additional 3D modeling software/experience a plus.
  • Capable of utilizing Bluebeam for drawing reviews both for internal and external collaborations.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Possess problem solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills 
  • Self-motivating and capable of working independently with minimal oversight. Additionally, should be able to work well with others in a group or team structure.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail 
  • Possess leadership skills which keep project team motivated and focused.
