Description

We are working alongside an industry leading, disruptive client within the agricultural biologicals industry to expand their sales team. They are looking to continue their rapid growth by hiring territory sales representatives focused on driving new sales within the ag-retail sector. This role will cover the St Louis and Missouri territory.

The client

Our client is a fast-growing, disruptive startup within the Ag-Biologicals industry. They provide a diverse & established portfolio of biological crop inputs within corn, soybean, wheat, cotton, sugar beets and other broad acre crops.

Location: St Louis, Missouri

The Role

This role is designed for highly experienced sales and agribusiness professionals with a deep understanding of agronomy, the inputs farmers use and how profits are generated from growing broad acre crops. The right candidate will have a sincere interest in helping farmers and ag retailers improve their farming practices and create significant savings by actively engaging with our clients’ products.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Expert sales skills and supreme confidence in calling on the largest and most successful farm businesses in the territory.
  • Understanding of the key agribusiness drivers.
  • Extreme drive to win.
  • 5+ years’ sales experience working in the agribusiness/crop input industry with documented ability to achieve high-growth sales results.
  • Existing book of business in the crop input specialty market.
  • B.S. in Ag business, agronomy, marketing, or related field is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively execute sales activity to meet annual revenue and product mix targets through a book of customers and prospects that you personally drive with a commitment to daily call activity and quarterly sales outcomes.
  • Actively target, recruit and secure new dealers aligned with our growth and profitability objectives.
  • Manage and grow exiting business in the territory.
